I have been anxious to try out my new Shimano Trevala and Penn 750 combo. Yesterdays plans went south as the 5 am launch time was met with a down pour. Not that I am afraid of the rain, but it is alot harder to find the fish since the birds dont like it either. At 3 pm the clouds cleared and the rain stopped so, Greg and I decided to shoot the gap between the 2 storms on the radar and headed out to find some bait. What we did not know was that there was 30 mph winds forcing up to 5 ft swells at the mouth of the river. We managed to find some bait though in the mess of things and then tried to get some more inside the basin of the cove. When we tied up at the pier to asses the situation the Harbor Master met us at the end of the dock and said " any luck ? man you guys are "Hard Core" !!! " My grin was not obvious to him and after all he had never seen us before so how could he have known. HARDCORE ANGLERS gear comming soon!!!
